Burma with Simon Reeve
Travel journalist Simon Reeve heads to Burma in this two-part documentary series, to investigate the stories of Rohingya Muslims being removed from their homes and communities. Burma, or Myanmar as it is also known, is a Southeast Asian country full of diverse wildlife and breathtaking scenery. However, the country's acceptance of its diverse cultures, or lack of, has long been reported, and its ethnic groups have been engulfed in the longest running civil war in history. Simon visits the largest city in the country, Yangon, to meet with nationalist monks and the antagonist figures accused of spreading hate against the Muslim community. He also journeys to Bangladesh, where he meets with Rohingya Muslims that have been displaced, and listens to their troubling stories of persecution.
